China

To me, China is like a second home. I lived there for almost three years and have visited at least once every year since 2011.

It took a while for me to get used to the culture and language, but once I did I fell in love with the place.

When I lived there, I earned money by teaching English which is a great way to save for adventures. It’s also phenomenally simple.

To read more about teaching English, Go Overseas has some great information, but for a terrific insight into the experiences of an English teacher living in China, I fully recommend a visit to Where Am I To? to read about Joe Barker’s unique adventure.

Other great information and blogs about living, travelling and being a tourist in China can be found at the following places:

Lost Laowai

Katie Aune

Museum Mutterings

I have explored a fraction of what China has to offer and can’t wait to get myself back there again, as it’s always proved itself to be a rich source of photographic material.

The following photographs were taken in Baoji, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’an, Pingyao, Hong Kong and Jinjiang.
